Zenji is an small web-app which you can use to learn both the meanings and the readings of (Japanese) Kanjis. It automatically grabs a new background image (tagged with “Japan”) from Unsplash when changing to a different Kanji.
The user can study Kanjis sorted by difficulty levels and quiz themselves on whether they studied it well or not. The quiz section automatically converts your typing to Hiragana (another Japanese scripture) when you need to input one of the readings.
The project was written using ReactJs, and was mainly a quick side-project to see how fast I could understand ReactJs with my Angular2 knowledge. I have made use of several plugins, Unsplash and the WaniKani API to get the Kanji information. You can also take a look at the project on Github here!
